C) The Church

The Church of Jesus Christ was first mentioned in Matthew 16:18 when Jesus said to Peter: "That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it."  The "rock" that Jesus mentioned is the words that Peter had just said: "Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God" (vs16).  Jesus Christ is the corner stone and the head of His Church; we are the members and His body.

H) Prophesy

The Bible is full of prophesy from Genesis to Revelation and their fulfillment is a unshackable proof that the Bible is the Word of God.  However, there are some prophesies in the Bible, that have not yet been fulfilled; the most important being the second return of Jesus Christ.  The Bible has rules regarding prophesy and if they are from God or not.   In Deuteronomy 18: 20 - 22, the Lord says that if a prophesy does not come true, the prophet is to be put to death.

In the New Testament, in Revelation 22:18, the Lord will destroy anyone who adds anything to the Bible.  Prophesy is very important to God; it should be important to us also.

K) Christian Virtues

Virtue is defined as a conformity to a standard of right; a particular moral excellence. There a several virtues mentioned in the Bible and one of the most important ones is obedience.  The word obedience starts by the letter "O" and a good method of applying obedience is as  follows:  an umbrella throws a shadow of an "O" on the ground when we are under it.    When we remove ourselves from under it, we get wet, right?    The same applies to sin in the Bible. When we get out from under the protection of God and we sin, we pay the consequences; children, on the other hand, are under the umbrella of protection of their parents.    "Without faith it is impossible to please Him".  Hebrews 11:6
