(But..but.., I don’t know how)

If you are truly born again, you know how to evangelize; someone spoke to you about Jesus once, no?   Just go back on all the articles that we have discussed to refresh your thinking – go to www.profzebulon.org and click on the Evangelism tab.

However, for today’s study, I would ask that you check out Matthew 13: 3 to 8, that begins with “Behold, a sower went forth to sow…”.  This is a very familiar passage; corresponding texts can be found in Mark 4 and Luke 8. In our series of studies, it is Number 93.   Let’s pretend for a moment that the passage began as follows “Behold, a sower went forth to sow and he brought his little son with him to teach him how to sow;”   We can picture the father in front sowing the seed with much dexterity and the little boy trying to do like his father.  The father would’ve given the child some training but the little guy was basically on his own.

As the parable indicates, there are 4 types of soil.  So the little boy with his short and fat fingers does his best to get the job done with his father certainly glancing behind to see how his son was doing.   Undoubtedly, the little boy was not as deft as his father but if some of the little boy’s seed falls on the good soil, it will bear fruit just as his father’s seed would’ve.

In other words, experience and ability have co bearing when it comes to sowing God’s Word. When is the time to sow the Word?  now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.“  2 Corin 6:2.  A new believer who has never spoken a word to anyone about Jesus and does so by faith will have as much impact on a heart in which God has prepared the soil than say…Billy Graham.   May we never forget that God saves and the only thing He asks us to do is to be sowers.  “The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest.”  Luke 10:2.
