(The Three Greatest Sins - an over view)

These three sins are :  1) Blasphemy against the Holy Spirit; 2) The Unpardonable Sin; 3) The Sin unto Death.

In our future studies, we will look at these sins one at a time; but, for the moment,  lets give each one a brief description:

1) Blasphemy against the Holy Spirit:   (Matt 12:31) "Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men".  This sin could only be committed during the time when Jesus was on the earth.

2) The Unpardonable Sin:  (Marc 3:28-30)   "Verily I say unto you, All sins shall be forgiven unto the sons of men, and blasphemies wherewith soever they shall blaspheme.  But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation"   This sin can only be committed by non-believers.

3) The Sin Unto Death: (1 John 5:14-17) "If any man see his brother sin a sin which is not unto death, he shall ask, and he shall give him life for them that sin not unto death. There is a sin unto death: I do not say that he shall pray for it.  All unrighteousness is sin: and there is a sin not unto death".  This sin can only be committed by believers.
